Trade Documentation & Documentary Credit Services
Acceptor has a dedicated Trade Services team with many years of experience in international banking, trading and trade documentation handling. Acceptor's team provides a comprehensive range of trade support services and clients can rely on Acceptor to provide all their trading offices requirements. Acceptor will assist in initial office set-up and provide day-to-day shipping and trading transactions support.
Operation of bank accounts with import / export and trade facilities
Acceptor facilitates the opening and operation of corporate bank accounts with leading bankers. We can assist clients (whether they are newly incorporated or not) in the operation and financing of trading activities. If required, Acceptor can act as a signatory to operate client trade accounts allowing efficient processing of payments, transfers and other communications with the bankers.
Letters of Credit (¡§L/C's¡¨) Services
We can professionally assist clients with the daily management of L/C's including:
- Applying UCP ICC Rules for Letters of Credit and Collections
- Observing and monitoring international standard banking practices for clients
- Establishing Transfer Letters of Credit and/or back-to-back L/C's
- Arranging and following up L/C amendments and settlements; advising clients on L/C amendments when required
- Applying L/C's to local and overseas suppliers; preparing L/C applications, related invoices and other documentation
- Receiving and forwarding L/C's from buyers; preparing related invoices
- Preparing and presenting shipping documents required under L/C's
Trade Documentation
With Acceptor's assistance in the preparation and administration of all trade documentation, we are able to alleviate clients of the detailed and time-consuming work involved in processing.
For import business, as well as arranging L/C's, Acceptor assists clients with:
- issuing purchase orders to suppliers
- arranging onward delivery of import documents
- arranging payments to suppliers
For export business, Acceptor assists clients with:
- sales confirmations
- sales contracts to buyers
- preparation of commercial invoices upon shipment
- co-ordinate and preparation of shipping documents for collection
- the follow up on payments from buyers
Acceptor can also assist in arranging non letter of credit collections and the preparation of status reports.
